What DataVolley does well
Live scouting during the match, the link with video, the standard score sheets and reports used by coaching staffs and federations: for that specific job DataVolley remains an established reference with years of development behind it. If your scout already uses it well, there is no reason to change.
What VolleyCoach Pro adds
VolleyCoach Pro does not compete on live scouting: it reads the .dvw files you produce with your usual software and uses them for things a scouting-only tool is not designed to do.

No. VolleyCoach Pro is an independent product. DataVolley is a trademark of its respective owners, mentioned here only to describe the .dvw file format the platform can read.
If I use VolleyCoach Pro, do I have to stop using DataVolley?
No. Most users keep scouting matches with their usual software and upload the resulting .dvw file to VolleyCoach Pro for everything else.
Does VolleyCoach Pro do live scouting during the match?
No, that is not its purpose. It works on the exported .dvw file and does not replace courtside scouting.
How much does it cost compared with scouting-only software?
VolleyCoach Pro is in an invite-only private beta: whoever joins now uses it for free and will get big lifetime perks when it opens to everyone. There will also be a free version with limited features.
